Vice President, Jasper Advisors

 

As a Vice President you will work with a wide range of clients, including corporate, finance, and sports, and support the work of the firm to create deliverables that are creative, strategic, and will help meet clients' goals.

Responsibilities

A Vice President’s job responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with clients and leading client teams.
  • Managing junior team members, with input from team leads.
  • Facilitating the development of complex, multifaceted communications plans and supplemental project plans, while working with the team.
  • Leading internal processes driving towards client goals.
  • Overseeing team deliverables to ensure the highest quality.
  • Securing and managing coverage in local and national print and broadcast outlets.
  • Developing and maintaining booker, producer, and reporter relationships.
  • Serving as a thought leader with team lead to meet client goals.
  • Participating in new business development by generating business ideas and leads and drafting new business proposals.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in writing, strategic communications, and media-intensive positions such as political campaigns and corporate communications roles and/or PR agency/similar organizations.
  • Experience placing national print and broadcast stories; experience with diverse press is a plus.
  • Strong writing and research skills with thorough knowledge of AP Style.
  • Experience exercising good judgement, plus discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information. 
  • The ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing needs and work well in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A working knowledge of building and implementing strategic communications plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and handle competing deadlines.
  • Ambassador for the Jasper brand.

Benefits

Jasper is committed to pay equity. Jasper believes the target range of base compensation in this role is $115,000-$150,000. In addition to base salary, Jasper considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location.
