Overview

The Client Finance Associate is responsible for maintaining and tracking the completeness and accuracy of a portfolio of retainer and media-based client accounts. Your primary focus is to support the finance team and ensure all administrative responsibilities are up to date.  This includes reviewing client, vendor, and intercompany agreements, tracking and recording client/project revenue in our ERP (Maconomy), monitoring client invoicing, client revenue forecasting and reconciling and closing projects. While completing these responsibilities, you will need to provide ad-hoc reports and updates on clients and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review new contracts as they are drafted and signed to request project setups, client invoices and update revenue trackers accordingly.
  • Partner with the Shared Financial Team to oversee and track project setups, client invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP management, and ensuring client transactions are posted in accordance with all applicable contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with the Client Finance Manager and the various client facing team leaders to ensure all financial elements of the client relationship are managed, tracked, monitored, and communicated.
  • Assist the Client Finance Manager and CFO in the preparation of various financial presentations (primarily annual budget and quarterly reforecasts).
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of Shared Services team members within the AP, AR and Billing groups.
  • Assist Client Finance Manager in preparation of all monthly revenue recognition and month-end entries while adhering to month end close deadlines.
  • Review client invoices to ensure client invoices adhere to billing requirements before sent to account team leads, as needed, for approval to send to clients.
  • Track client receivables and vendor payables aging reports.
  • Reconcile and close projects in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Self-driven with ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong team collaborator with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with an eye for organization of large amounts of data.
  • Superior organization abilities and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Natural curiosity and a flexible attitude in a shifting environment.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, with some exposure to an enterprise level ERP.

Benefits

SKDK is committed to pay equity. SKDK believes the target base compensation in this role is between $68,000-$80,000. In addition to base salary, SKDK considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location.
